Heritage Council

Overview


The Heritage Council was created by Ordinance No. 1100, adopted August 28, 1985, amending Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances by adding Article VII and VIII, and amended by Ordinance No. 99-1100.27, adopted on June 1, 1999.  The board issues certificates of appropriateness Class "A" Permit authorizing the total or partial alteration of a structure which is zoned as a heritage site either in the heritage Landmark District or in a Heritage Overlay District.

  • Each member shall be appointed by the City Commission

  • One (1) Planner, One (1) Alternate
  • One (1) Attorney, One (1) Alternate
  • One (1) Banker, One (1) Alternate
  • Seven (7) Member , Seven (7) Alternates
